Before joining Peralta College’s Office of International Education, Todd worked in the mental health and substance abuse field for 10 years. Todd earned his MA in Multicultural Education and MS in Counselor from California State University, SacramentoHe also has experience in working abroad doing service work and tutoring in the town of San Ignacio, Belize. Since then, he has been working in higher education as an international student counselor as well as professor of Asian American and Ethnic Studies for 13 years. He decided to work in this field because he likes to interact with students on mental or academic issues and try to find solutions to ease their pains. In his free time, he likes to travel the world. So far, he has been to 10 different countries spanning from Belize to Canada, and many cities in Western Europe, including Madrid and Amsterdam. Fun facts about Todd: He is also a professional DJ and a BMX biker. He loves to collect records and owns more than 5,000 records!
