Karla started working in the education field as a student worker in the community college system, as her first job. With her degree in Early Childhood Administration from California State University, Los Angeles, she became the Site Director at the preschool in Southern California, where she went to elementary school. In 2012, Karla moved up to the Bay Area, where she worked at an English language school and the Peralta Colleges since 2017. After several years of working in the industry, she discovered that she loves working with people, especially students. She enjoys forming relationships with the students and helping them to achieve their dreams. In her free time, she likes to bake, paint, and garden. A fun fact about Karla: Throughout her high school years in the Philippines, she was the tallest person on campus.
