Overview
All student-athletes should first utilize the District's primary student accident insurance through Convex Insurance. Claims are administered by Administrative Concepts, Inc. (ACI). The Athletic Department staff should follow the insurance and claims procedures outlined in the Student Injury Process.
The primary student accident insurance policy provides up to $50,000 in benefits for covered injuries.
If expenses exceed the limits of the primary policy, the Athletic Department may submit a claim through the District catastrophic accident insurance program administered by AGI. The primary and catastrophic insurance policies will coordinate benefits to determine eligible coverage.
Throughout the claims process, the insurance carriers and claims administrators will work directly with the student-athlete and medical providers to assist with claim filing, documentation requirements, and benefit coordination.
