  • Lock vehicle doors and keep valuables out of view

  • Have your keys ready when returning to your vehicle and check your surroundings before entering

  • Avoid working or studying alone in campus buildings whenever possible

  • Report suspicious behavior, safety concerns, or criminal activity to the Department of Community Safety or a college employee

Community Safety & Training

The Department of Community Safety provides timely information regarding criminal activity and safety concerns that may affect the District community. Safety alerts, notices, and educational resources are distributed through various communication channels to help keep students and employees informed.

The Department also provides training and preparedness programs, including active shooter response training, to support campus safety, awareness, and emergency readiness.

Personal Safety Handbook

For additional information, the District publishes an annual Personal Safety Handbook. The handbook provides information on security policies, emergency preparedness, and public safety.
