What is the connection between Accreditation and Distance Education?
The accreditation process "fosters institutional excellence and continuous improvement through innovation, self-analysis, peer review, and application of standards (accjc.org/about). This process includes distance education programs and courses.
The PCCD DE initiative is designed to:
- Assist the district in achieving its strategic goals and objectives
- Support excellence in online teaching and learning
- Reduce education gaps in student achievement
- Ensure that all PCCD online and hybrid classes meet federal, state, and accreditation standards.
