We are now accepting applications for Spring 2024. Application Deadline for Overseas students is November 15, and December 15 for Transfer Students.

Step 1: Create OpenCCC Account
- Select your home campus:
Berkeley City College | College of Alameda | Laney College | Merritt College
- Click "Create an Account"

Step 2: Submit your OpenCCC Application
- Select "Start an Application", follow the instructions, and submit
- Note: under "current visa type", select F-1 visa and check the "no visa yet" box
- If you have a different visa, you can select it from the list, or select "OTHER"
- Look for an email with your new Peralta ID and Peralta email address

Step 3: Request an I-20 (F-1 Students)
- Login to International Student Portal or navigate through your Peralta My Student Apps Page
- Complete each section and submit your request for an I-20
- Refer to our Application Checklist for a list of required documents

If you see an error message on Step 3, you may be applying too early.

If you are currently an F-1 or J-1 student at another U.S. institution and would like to take a class at one of our colleges, please complete Step 1 of the International Student Application Process, and email the following items to international@peralta.edu.
