What is the DSC Classified Senate?
The DSC Classified Senate represents the voice of classified professionals at the Peralta District Service Center. Our purpose is to address non-bargaining concerns and, in the spirit of participatory governance, collaborate with district leadership to help shape goals and initiatives that support campus involvement, professional development, and collegiality
We are one of five functional senates across the Peralta Community College District — alongside our sister senates at each of the four colleges. Together, these senates form the Peralta Classified Senate. While that body represents the districtwide collective, the DSC Classified Senate focuses specifically on the needs and perspectives of employees based at the District Service Center (333 East 8th Street, Oakland, CA 94606).
