Dear Peralta Community,

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I am pleased to announce we are now accepting applications for the position of Peralta Community College District Chancellor. The Search Brochure, Application Process, Timeline, and other search related materials are posted on the Chancellor Search website.

Many thanks go to our Screening Committee members who provided valuable input for the brochure and timeline, to all who responded to the campus survey, and to the terrific teams in our Marketing, Communication & Public Relations and Human Resources departments for helping to provide open, clear information for potential candidates.

The closing date for applications is July 31, 2023, by midnight.

We anticipate finalists will be selected in mid-October and plan for all finalists to participate in public forums October 27-30, 2023. We encourage your participation and will provide detailed information prior to the forums regarding how to participate and provide feedback. Our goal is to complete the search process and announce our new Chancellor in November, with a start date of January 1, 2024. We thank Interim Chancellor Jackson for continuing to ably lead the District and for her willingness to work with the Chancellor-elect in November/December to assure a smooth transition to new leadership.
