We are excited to inform you that the Peralta Community College District has implemented a new Student Administration System called PASSPORT!  This new system will allow you to:

  • Easily search the schedule of classes
  • Add and drop classes
  • Check holds
  • Update your personal information such as mailing address, phone number, etc,
  • View grades/transcripts
  • Check fees and balances
  • And much more!

Tips on How to Search the Schedule of Classes online and Reference Guides are available to help you navigate the PASSPORT Student Administration System (adding, dropping, etc...) easily.

A Word from the Chancellor

Chancellor Elihu M. Harris

Welcome to the Peralta Colleges.  All of us at Berkeley City College, College of Alameda, Laney College, and Merritt College are pleased you have selected our colleges to pursue your educational goals and dreams.  Peralta is home to faculty and staff dedicated to making sure your experience at Peralta exceeds your expectations.

Community colleges are rapidly being recognized as urban America’s premiere source of higher education and skills training.  You will not find a greater array of educational opportunities than those offered at Peralta.  We educate and train people for real jobs and real careers.  You can leave Peralta fully prepared to enter the job market, and/or continue your education at any four-year institution throughout the nation.

Perhaps our greatest role is providing lifelong learning to our community.  We have students from 15 years of age to those well into their 90’s.  From acclaimed aviation maintenance technology program, to dance and jazz, to nursing and horticulture, and much more, we offer courses that enrich people’s lives.

Whether it’s your first class or your final required for transfer, I hope your association with us will continue for years to come.  America in the past was a manufacturing leader.  Now we live in an age of knowledge.  Peralta wants to assist you in gaining the knowledge you need so that you can continue our great tradition of providing the world with the leadership necessary to spark new ideas and innovation.  We are not just a school; we are your partner in building both your future, and the future of our community.

Sincerely,

Elihu M. Harris

Chancellor
